ALLERGY TESTING with the Mora RMS10

THE TESTING METHOD
The method belongs to the field of Bio-Energetic Regulatory Medicine (BER Medicine) which originated from electro-acupuncture. It uses the German made Mora RMS10.
The test procedure is non-invasive and does not involve taking a blood sample. Instead with the use of a probe it uses a measurement of the body’s energy level and identifies any changes in this level when it is exposed to a food or allergen. These changes indicate the degree to which the individual is sensitive to the item measured.
The level of energy can be measured at various different acupuncture points on either the fingers or toes.

IN PREPARATION FOR THE TEST PLEASE DO NOT:

Apply hand cream on the day of testing
Wear nail varnish
Wear tights or nylon stockings
Have your mobile phone switched on
Eat a full meal 40 minutes before the appointment

You will also be asked to remove any jewelry from the hand being tested.

SAFETY:
Patients with implanted electronic equipment e.g. pacemakers, can not be tested.

NOTE:
The client is advised to discontinue the use of medicines for a period of 24 hours before the examination, but only where it is safe to do so and of course this should only be done in consultation with their doctor.  This includes anti-histamines, sleeping tablets and where possible steroids. Testing is still possible whilst taking medication although the results may be slightly muted.

THE IMPORTANCE OF NUTRITIONAL ADVICE:
Following an allergy or intolerance test it is all too easy to take the results home and simply cut out those foods for which you tested positive. While your symptoms may change and improve dramatically it does not treat the underlying cause of your problem.

Many different factors are involved and these will depend on each individual. Amongst others they can include digestive health, immune strength and exposure to stress.

Allergy testing when done under the guidance of a qualified nutritionist takes all these factors into account. This helps to ensure that when you leave your consultation, you work towards treating the underlying cause of your symptoms i.e. how the sensitivity was able to develop and not simply remove the trigger i.e. the food that caused the symptoms to become apparent. The benefits of treating a sensitivity in this fashion are far-reaching as you will subsequently be less likely to become intolerant to other foods in your diet and in addition to this gain, improvements in overall health.
